Why Study Taiwan?

Taiwan is an Asian nation on the southeastern coast. There are many magnificent mountains in this region, and the climate is tropical, with both rainy and dry seasons. When the Portuguese sailed their ship to Asia in the 16th century, they found it. They are named Taiwan Ilha Formosa, which translates to “beautiful island.”

Taiwan was once a part of the Republic of China, but it broke away from the mainland in 1949. Taiwan became one of Asia’s economic “Tigers” around the year 2000. Their economic system transitioned from a labor-intensive to a high-tech one. China is their most important trade partner, followed by the United States and Japan.

Living in Taiwan is normally simple for international students. The country accepts foreign students with open arms because of its varied culture and rich history.

One of the reasons why students choose to study in Taiwan is that they are still surrounded by “green mother nature.” Other areas are renowned for their parks, sandy beaches, lagoons, and architectural heritage, while others are known for their spectacular mountains for hiking trips.

Low tuition fees in Taiwanese universities and colleges are also big draw-factors for students seeking higher education. Because of new government reforms, high-quality research programs are now available in Taiwan.

It’s also nice to hear that Taiwan’s Ministry of Education has introduced higher education programs with simplified implementation procedures, as well as studies for international students wishing to live in Taiwan. Even foreign students may apply for scholarships in the region.

Aside from the low tuition, the nation is also inexpensive. The cost of living is fair, and depending on your lifestyle, you will be able to fly cheaply to various Asian countries due to their proximity. A fantastic way to begin your journey across the globe!
